MISTAR / FRAGRANCE EDIT
Understand fragrance. Discover your signature scent.
A considered guide to fragrance notes, scent families, concentration, longevity and choosing the ideal fragrance for your style and occasion.
Families describe the overall feeling and direction of a fragrance.
Top notes are the first scents experienced after spraying. They are generally lighter and evaporate faster.
Heart notes appear as the fragrance develops and form much of its character, creating the transition from top notes into the lasting base.
Base notes create depth and much of a fragrance’s lasting character. The dry-down is the final stage after the opening has faded.
Actual longevity varies depending on the fragrance, formulation, skin, climate and application.
Use these profiles as a simple starting point when browsing your next fragrance.
